Well woman care, prenatal visits close to home, contraception, and menopause. Honest about what we do not deliver.
We provide well woman exams, cervical cancer screening, breast exams and mammography referral, contraception counseling and management, evaluation of bleeding that has changed, and treatment for the range of symptoms that come with menopause.
On pregnancy, we want to be direct with you.
We provide your prenatal care here, through the whole pregnancy, with Dr. Boyd. You deliver at our regional partner hospital, where there is an obstetric team, an anesthesiologist available at any hour, and a nursery equipped for a baby who arrives with a problem.
We do not run a labor and delivery unit, and we are not going to start one. A fifteen bed hospital cannot staff obstetrics safely around the clock, and a rural hospital that pretends otherwise is taking a risk with two lives to protect a service line. That is not a trade we will make.
What we can do is spare you most of the driving. Routine prenatal visits happen here, every result goes to the delivering team as it comes in, and by the time you are in labor they know your history. Your postpartum visit and your baby’s first checks come back to us.
If getting to the delivering hospital is a transportation problem, tell us early. We can usually solve it, and we would much rather solve it in month four than in month nine.
