Visiting Specialty Clinics
Specialists drive out here on a schedule so a twenty minute follow-up does not cost you a day.
A cardiology follow-up takes about twenty minutes. Getting to one in Wichita takes the better part of a day, and often a family member’s day as well. Enough people quietly skip those appointments that it becomes a health problem in its own right.
So we bring the specialists here. They use our exam rooms, our imaging, and our staff, on a fixed rotation.
Cardiology, second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
Orthopedics, every Wednesday.
Podiatry, first and third Thursday. Heavily booked, and worth booking ahead if you have diabetes.
General surgery consultation, Mondays and Thursdays.
Audiology, second Friday of the month.
Oncology follow-up, arranged through your oncologist as your treatment schedule requires.
You book through our scheduling desk rather than the specialist’s home office, and your records and prior imaging are already in the room when they arrive. If they decide you need a procedure they cannot do here, they schedule it at their own facility and we handle the follow-up locally afterward.
The schedule shifts occasionally around holidays and weather. We call you if your appointment moves.
