Physical Therapy

One therapist, start to finish, whether you are an inpatient, a resident next door, or coming in from town.

Our therapy gym works with whoever needs it: patients on the inpatient floor, people recovering through the swing bed program, residents at long term care, and anyone in the community with a referral or a problem that has not gone away.

Common reasons people end up with us: a new knee or hip, a back that has been bad since haying season, a shoulder that will not lift, recovery after a stroke, and balance that has quietly gotten worse over a couple of years.

That last one is the quiet emergency. A fall that breaks a hip is often the event that ends an older adult’s independence, and balance is trainable. If you have caught yourself on the counter more than once lately, that is worth an appointment rather than a shrug.

Our therapy is one to one. You see the same therapist through your whole plan of care, which means somebody actually notices in week three that an exercise is not working and changes it.

Kansas allows you to be seen for a limited number of visits without a physician referral, though most insurance plans want one anyway. Call us and we will tell you straight which applies to your situation before you make an appointment you cannot use.
