Primary Care
Behavioral Health
Counseling and psychiatric care in the same waiting room as everything else, on purpose.
Depression, anxiety, and addiction are no less common out here than anywhere else. What is different is that there are fewer people to help, and everyone knows everyone.
That second part is the barrier, and we designed around it. Behavioral health is provided inside the community clinic, sharing the same entrance and the same waiting room as family medicine. Walking in looks like walking in. Nobody in the parking lot learns anything about you.
Available here: individual counseling, psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management, treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, substance use assessment, and grief support.
We also provide medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, which is otherwise close to unobtainable in this part of the state without a long drive that most people in early recovery will not sustain.
Dr. Reese sees patients in Ruraltown on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with telehealth visits available on the other days. Counseling appointments run throughout the week.
If you are in crisis right now, call or text 988. Someone answers at any hour. If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, call 911 or come to the emergency department, where there is always a physician.
