Dr. Whitfield cares for children from their first days through their late teens.
Her work covers newborn visits, well child checks and immunizations, acute illness, asthma and allergy management, developmental screening, and adolescent health. She provides newborn coverage at the hospital and sees children admitted for acute illness.
She has spent considerable effort on childhood immunization rates in the county and on getting developmental concerns caught early, when the available help does the most good. She coordinates directly with the school district and with early intervention services so families are not left to assemble that themselves.
She joined Demonstration Healthcare in 2021.
