Curtis Dunlap, MD
Internal Medicine Physician, Hospitalist
Accepting new patients
Dr. Dunlap covers the hospital’s inpatient service, which means he looks after patients admitted for acute care and those recovering in the swing bed program.
His focus is the complicated older patient: several conditions at once, a long medication list, and a body that no longer tolerates the textbook answer. Sorting out which medications are helping and which are causing the problem is a large and underrated part of the job.
He also directs the swing bed program and works closely with therapy staff on discharge planning, with a bias toward getting people home rather than to the next facility.
He holds a small outpatient panel for complex internal medicine follow-up.
